LARGE FLORALS
Through the lens of my paintings, I explore the dynamic interplay between botanical life and the endless possibilities of the human imagination. My work transcends the traditional still life, allowing floral subjects to burst forth from the canvas and beckon viewers to engage with the limitless realms of creativity beyond its physical and invisible borders.
My creative process mirrors the cyclical nature of the natural world, with artistic impulses blooming rapidly like newborn buds, each brimming with potential. Just as a gardener tends to their prized blooms, I curate these initial ideas, nurturing some while discarding others, to cultivate a vision that is both rooted in intuition and refined by critical thought.
Intuition, like a plant's root system, serves as the unseen anchor, drawing sustenance from my lived experiences and subconscious. When I encounter color harmony that I’m attracted to, I receive a strong impulse to want to create a work of art with those hues. These initial urges, however, are fluid and I allow them to evolve throughout my creative process. Just as a rose unfolds petal by petal, revealing its hidden depths, my artistic vision matures through experimentation, responding to the dynamic interplay of medium, form, and inspiration.
